ABOUT THE STUDIO
EAST SIDE ACTORS SELF TAPE STUDIO was born from a simple idea: actors deserve to tape in a space that feels grounded, creatively alive and inspiring. Especially in the era of with auditions being virtual - how do we continue to find connection, joy and play?
Nestled in a converted garage, East Side Actors is a hidden gem—cozy, warm, and buzzing with creative energy. It’s a place where artists land, exhale, and do their best work.
Here, you can leave nerves, doubts, and second-guessing at the door, drop into the present, and focus on what matters: the work. In an ever-changing industry, the only thing we can control is how we show up. At East Side Actors, we show up with confidence, truth, hard work—and just a little irreverence.
Having worked on both sides of the lens, I’ve demystified it—and I’m here to help you walk into every audition with clarity and confidence. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, I’ve got you.
Actors of all levels come through these doors—from performers on major shows and streaming platforms, to theatre veterans and emerging artists finding their voice. Every career stage is met with the same care, curiosity, and respect. I create an experience that feels human and easeful—like working with a friend who truly has your back.
Time and again, people tell me they do their best work here. If you’re ready to step into a space that believes in you, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Tommie-Amber Pirie
Owner and Founder
I'm a working actor with over 20 years in film and television - in front of the camera and behind it. Curious about my work? Check it out below.
I'm deeply passionate about human nature — what makes us tick, where we hide, and how we tell the truth. I believe great work begins with curiosity and courage, and I'm always chasing a deeper understanding of myself, the people around me, and the stories we bring to life.
When I'm not on set, you'll find me here — helping actors connect to their voice and step into their strongest, most honest work. I love collaborating, asking questions, and creating a space where artists feel grounded, brave, and inspired.
I'm also the proud mother of two daughter-dogs, Winnie and Piglet — Chief Morale Officer and Director of Studio Security respectively. And sourdough? Don't get me started. Get me starter. Get it?
